Anna MacLean is a Paris-based legal structuring consultant with a focus on startups and SMEs. She holds a Master’s degree in Economic Law from Sciences Po Paris and a Bachelor’s degree in French and German Literatures from Bowdoin College (USA). After starting her career in M&A with top Paris law firms, she joined a venture capital firm, deepening her understanding of startup dynamics and investor expectations. She also served as Head of Legal for a group of startups, gaining hands-on experience with the legal and operational challenges faced by young companies.

Today, Anna works independently to support founders and leadership teams on the running of their companies, freeing them to focus on their business. Her services include compliance audits, the implementation of tailored processes based on best practices, and long-term support with strategic structuring and governance. She helps companies prepare for and navigate key milestones—such as fundraising, management transitions, or international expansion—by ensuring legal strategies are both cost-efficient and business-aligned. She also acts as a bridge with external counsel, helping decision-makers refine and express their legal needs for greater efficiency and impact.
